Mentor Application - CSU Mentorship Program 2022-2023 
Hey Upper-year Chemistry Students,

The CSU mentorship program is once again running this year! We will be matching together upper-year mentors and 1st and 2nd Year mentees. Please apply to be a mentor using the form below. In terms of time commitment, we'll hold four official mentorship events spread out across the entire year - other than that, it is up to you and your mentee to communicate about individual mentor/mentee meetings. The mentorship program is an excellent opportunity to give back to the chemistry community, and the CSU is willing to provide our contact information should you need us to act as a referee or verify your position as a mentor during any application processes.

What is one piece of advice you'd definitely share with your mentee? *
It's deep into exam season, and your mentee is pestering you frantically, clearly mentally worn down and tired, with simple questions about SN2 reactions, molecular orbital theory, and relationship advice. You're swamped with work and grad school applications, and to top it all off, you haven't slept more than a few hours in the past few days. You DON'T have the time to meet with them, or even doing anything apart from a quick reply, restraining the urge to tell them to "check masterorganicchemistry.com" or "sorry kid, get good at chemistry." What do you do/how would you approach this situation? Remember that meeting with them is NOT an option. You may take any approach you like in answering this question (no word limit requirements) *
