At St Winefride’s we sometimes take photographs and videos of pupils. We use these photos in:

The school’s prospectus; on the school’s website/social media; in the school newsletter; in promotional material; in subject folders; as evidence of a child’s progression (especially in Early Years); occasionally in the local press; on display boards around school and on display boards in St Stephen’s Church.

We would like your consent to take photos and videos of your child, and use them in the ways described above. If you’re not happy for us to do this, that’s no problem – we will accommodate your preferences.

Why are we asking for your consent?

We really value using photos/videos of pupils, to be able to showcase what pupils do in school and show what life at our school is like to others, so we appreciate you taking the time to give consent. To reduce administration, to comply with the UK GDPR regulations and to save you from the task of giving consent every year, we will keep a record of this consent until your child leaves St Winefride’s, at which point we will dispose of it securely, either by shredding all paper copies or permanently deleting all electronic copies saved on a computer or other device. If there is a material change in legislation or reason for using photos/videos of your child we will contact you again.
