In a continuing effort to support your outreach efforts, the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (Department) invites you to join us for the “Empowering Neighborhood Voices with Digital Content” webinar, Wednesday, September 30th from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm (rescheduled from original date of July 29th). This webinar is open to all members of the Neighborhood Council System and the public.

The “Empowering Neighborhood Voices with Digital Content” webinar is designed to provide board members with the tools to create digital content to promote through various digital channels. The webinar will cover the basics of video production, filming and editing. Webinar attendees will also gain knowledge on how to develop a “content plan”, the equipment needed to produce a high quality video, and how to export the footage. Tips on how to promote videos on social media channels will also be shared. The skills gained will prepare attendees for conducting NC outreach and for the upcoming 2021 NC Elections.

After the webinar, Neighborhood Councils will be asked to submit self-filmed videos under the common theme of “Empowering Neighborhood Voices,” which will result in a final video product promoting the Neighborhood Council System.
