In partnership with Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute, the City of Richmond is building on the Greenhouse Gas Inventory completed in 2019 to create a Climate Action Plan.
This plan will serve as a roadmap for city residents, businesses and government agencies to reduce carbon emissions and prepare for future impacts of climate change. The plan will lay out the various actions and activities that Richmond can take to adapt to changing weather patterns in order to build a community that is more resilient to the impacts of climate change. It will not include mandates for individuals or businesses, but rather, strategies to help us all work toward a cleaner, healthier community.
Citizen input collected through this survey will help guide the development of our city’s Climate Action Plan. This survey has been designed to gather critical information and feedback from citizens, and collect ideas for future engagement strategies. The survey should take about 5-10 minutes.
