Eligibility and mission
The future challenges of biology will require creative thinkers dedicated to tackling the unknown. Research has shown that teams with diverse perspectives are best suited for making progress on such challenges. Stanford Biology strives to be a leader in the field, which requires recruiting the next generation of excellent scientists with diverse backgrounds, interests, and strengths.

The application will close on August 30th, 2021, at 11:59pm.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants must be college graduates or seniors/rising seniors (2021-22 academic year) who should graduate no later than Summer 2022;

- Strongly considering applying to the Stanford Biology PhD Program in the Fall of 2021 and anticipate enrollment in graduate school in Fall 2022;

- We especially encourage students from historically underrepresented groups (based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic class, physical and mental abilities, religion, citizenship status, and age, among others) to apply.

- International students are welcome to apply.

Note on 2021 Biology Preview Program
With the intent of having more participants this year, we are offering the possibility of only attending the webinars without participating in one-on-one workshops. Everyone who applies to the 2021 BPP will be able to watch the live webinars and enter questions to the Q&A sessions. However, you must still register using this form to get the links to attend.

If you apply to attend the webinars only, you will be prompted to directly submit your application and we will send you the links for the webinars in October. If you want to attend the workshops you will continue with the rest of the application.
