The U.S. Composting Council (USCC) COMPOST2024 will take place in Ocean Center, Daytona Beach, Florida from February 6th – 9th, 2024. There is an opportunity for six selected microbusinesses that meet certain criteria to share a corner on February 7th and/or 8th in the Exhibit Hall.
Our Microbusiness Innovation Corner is a dynamic and immersive space designed to showcase cutting-edge ideas and the pioneering spirit of microbusinesses at the US Composting Council's annual conference trade show. This engaging corner brings together a selection of innovative companies at the forefront of industry transformation. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge ideas, groundbreaking solutions, services, and equipment from entrepreneurs and sustainable partners that are shaping the microbusiness landscape. The Microbusiness Innovation Corner serves as a catalyst for inspiration, collaboration, and networking, fostering an environment where attendees can exchange ideas, forge partnerships, develop collaboration, and discover new opportunities.
Though the gap is narrowing, both females and racial minorities are underrepresented in small businesses. This Microbusiness Innovation Corner aims to bring these new participants to COMPOST2024.
Applicants will be scored based on business innovation and diversity, equity, inclusion and access indicators. Business innovator's geographical location will also be considered in the selection for attendance so that the corner includes as many areas as possible.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit this application form before November 8, 2023, 11:59PM EST.
If your application is considered for selection, Microbusiness Innovation Corner Members and/or USCC Staff will reach out to learn more before November 29, 2023.
USCC Note: Daytona, Florida, was preselected as the location for our East Coast rotation of the USCC’s Annual Conference before current state policies affecting marginalized populations were put in place. For COMPOST2024, USCC is maximizing efforts to ensure that state policy changes are not harmful to BIPOC and LGBTQ attendees.
