Dance Artist Membership & BIPOC Dance Artist Membership Application

We are excited for all Dance Artists to experience the joy of Dance Church at an affordable rate. This free membership serves to further build connection and community with dance artists, especially those who are BIPOC. This offering provides access to the DCGO platform, including online classes, and $5 in-person class tickets. For BIPOC dance artists, in-person class tickets are free. While we firmly believe that every body is a dancer, our goal with this membership is to emphasize the labor that dance artists put in into their careers - a field often lacking structural and financial support. Additionally, we want to acknowledge the inequities BIPOC dance artists face and ease any financial barriers to our class-taking experience. We open this membership to individuals who focus their career, education, or art practice in dance, and have interest in helping the Dance Church community flourish even further into being a space for every body.

This discounted membership could suit you if...

  • You are a dance Artist (Performer, Choreographer), Student, Educator, or Administrator
  • You are a dance artist who would directly benefit from this discounted membership rate, or free rate for BIPOC individuals
  • You are a dance artist who loves dance church and/or are interested in learning more about it
  • You are a dance artist who is community-driven and committed to growing your arts community

We will work to review submissions within two weeks and will inform all applicants by email. Memberships are currently limited, and we are prioritizing artists in our IRL cities. We will maintain a waitlist as needed. 

Please note, if you are a currently on hiatus due to: illness, injury, pregnancy, or other reasonings, and are not able to provide current proof of income from dance, or a current program, we will still consider your other forms of validation.
