Pro Player Canes 16u 2021-22 Tryout Info Sheet
INFORMATION about the 16U Pro Player Canes Team and Tryout.  

16U Full Time Travel Team - We have great kids that treat each other well, respect each other, and make our dugout a fun place to be.

Head Coach: Jim Weaver -
1996-2001: Varsity Assistant Softball Coach - Fremd High School.  3 Trips to the IHSA Elite 8
2002-2016: Varsity Softball Coach at Fremd High School - 15 years - Retired to watch my kids play HS sports.  
2017:  Illinois Coaches Association Hall of Fame Inductee.
3 Trips to the IHSA state Finals as the head coach.   2nd Place Finish in 2010 - 3rd Place Finish in 2009.  
Developed 22 IHSA All State players (7 slappers that we flipped from right side to left), as well as 20+ NCAA softball players at schools like Northwestern (2), U of Illinois (2), ISU, UIC, NIU, Emory, Butler, Georgia Southern (2), Charleston Southern, UMKC, Loyola, Purdue, Appalachian State, Carthage, Illinois Wesleyan, Saint Louis (2), Wisc Osh-Kosh, etc.  
2000-2016 Summers: Coached the Fremd 18U Summer Full Time Travel team.  
2017-Present: Head Travel Coach of current 16U Pro Player Canes team/players.  

Team Schedule:
Fall 2021 (August thru October) - Practices and 3-4 Fall Tournaments - Weekday games.  
OFF (November thru Jan 1)
Winter 2021 (Jan 1 thru March 1) - 2 Practices a week at Pro Player - Possibly Indoor Tournament
Spring 2022 (High School Season) - OFF
Summer 2022 (June -to the End of July)  - Practices, Weekday Games, and 6-7 Tournaments

Included with membership to Pro Player
- Access to Pro Player Consultants for private lessons (ie. hitting, pitching, catching, defense) throughout the season. 6 lessons included in player fees.
- Daily access to Pro Player indoor training facility throughout the entire season.

TRYOUT DATES/Location - Tryouts are at Pro Player - 5112 Prime Parkway, McHenry, IL
Open Practice:  Monday, 7/12 from 5-7pm at Foxmoor Park in Fox River Grove
Main Tryout Day:  Monday, 7/19 from 5:30-7:30pm  - @ Pro Player
Callback Tryout Day if necessary:  Thursday 7/22 from 2-4pm @ Pro Player

Private Tryout:  If you need a private tryout date, please indicate that on this registration form.  All efforts to make Monday, 7/19 should be made.
