ESD SummerCon 2019 is a student-led event, originally conceived to promote research work by researchers from the Pillar of Engineering Systems & Design, SUTD. After the success of the first iteration in 2018, this year the conference will also be open to researchers outside ESD. The conference is a place for the ESD community, as well as our colleagues and friends from other institutions, to learn more about each other’s work, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations.

Plenary speaker: Prof. Justin Dauwels, NTU

We welcome any contributions related to design and operations of engineering systems such as water, transportation, finance, healthcare, etc. Methodological contributions such as applied mathematics, statistics, game theory, operations research, and economics are strongly encouraged.

Three awards, each is worth $100, will be given to the best presentation, best poster + flash talk, and best summer project. The first two awards are open to all while the last award is reserved for summer project students.
