If you are interested in coaching, sponsorship, volunteering, or getting on our mailing list please email us directly at

This is a PRE-registration form. Complete one full form for each interested student rider. The number of student riders on the team will be limited by the number of volunteer coaches (we expect to accommodate 100 student riders). Completion of this form is required, but
does not guarantee a spot on the team. We prioritize safety, fun and inclusion in decisions about team composition. In the event of a waitlist we consider the following factors, not necessarily in this order, when offering slots.
- Representation of a groups historically underrepresented on the team (e.g. gender, race, school, age/grade).
- Past participation, participation of parent/guardian as a coach/volunteer, participation of an older sibling.
- Date of PRE-registration form completion including riders who were on the waitlist in 2023.
- We do NOT consider rider skill and experience in this process, all skill levels are welcomed.
Team Practice and Events Info:
Riders are organized into ride groups to maximize safety and inclusion. Each ride group practices two evenings per week, high school age riders typically practice M/W (with some additional Friday rides), middle school riders practice M/W or T/TH usually 6-8pm (or 8:30p.m.). Exact days and times will be determined by the head coach to best meet the group needs and safety considerations. Practices will start and end earlier as the days get shorter. Practices are at several locations around Corvallis to take advantage of our extensive trail systems (e.g. Chepenafa Springs Park; Crescent Valley High School, Lewisburg Saddle, Benton County Fairgrounds, Oak Creek Trailhead, etc.). Coaches do their best to accommodate students in multiple sports. All practice times and locations will be listed on team calendar which can be found at:
http://www.corvallismtb.org/ 2024 Team RACE Weekends (Really Awesome Challenging Events!) occur across Oregon. Racing is optional, all team members are encouraged to participate in the events or come and cheer on their teammates. The Oregon league is split into 2 conferences, Corvallis will compete in the
South Conference in 2024 on the dates listed below. The day before the race includes an optional afternoon pre-ride to allow students to practice the course with coaches. Additionally, there is an afternoon GRiT (Girls Riding Together) ride. Volunteers, parents and siblings can participate in the GRiT rides, but must fill out and Oregon League liability form for the season. Some races include an evening team family social event (e.g. pizza party or potluck, amateur music night, etc. depending on availability of parent volunteers).
On race day warm ups begin early (around 7:30 a.m. for middle school), kids will race between 3 and 18 miles depending on the course, their age group and abilities. End of race award ceremonies take place in the afternoon. Parent volunteers are always needed on race weekends. Free camping is available at or near the venue, or the Corvallis Composite Team may organize camping at an alternate campground or facility. This social time associated with the RACE weekends is one of the best parts of being on the team. Some riders choose to stay in nearby hotels or drive early on race day. 2024 race days are scheduled for the following weekends. RACE details will be updated here as they are available here https://www.oregonmtb.org/raceseries. - AUG 24 - Prineville
- SEP 8 - Madras
- SEP 21 - Mt. Bachelor
- OCT 6 - Newport
- OCT 20 - Prineville (State Champs for qualifying riders)
Social activities for team members and their families occur throughout the season as volunteers are able to organize them (e.g. weekend family fun rides, GRiT rides, trail building events, Halloween costume ride, BBQs, end of season celebration, etc.). Pre-season events are listed on the website in the calendar. You do not need to be fully registered to participate in pre-season events.
