Join Dr. Gordon Court and his Peregrine Falcon, Vinnie, for a night all about the conservation journey of the Peregrine Falcon species. Dr. Gordon Court is the Provincial Wildlife Status Biologist for Alberta Environment and Parks and Protected Areas. With over four decades of experience in studying and protecting peregrine falcons, Gordon Court is a globally recognized expert on the species. During his talk, he will explore the history of the Peregrine Falcon in Canada, highlighting the challenges the species faced due to pesticide pollutants. Additionally, he will discuss the steps taken to restore the population and the ongoing projects in place to ensure their vitality in Alberta.

Meeting Location: Backyard Birds Nature Shop (15-100 King Street, Spruce Grove, AB)

Cost: $30+GST = $31.50 each (with proceeds to the conservation charity of Gordon's choice) [Please note that the fee for this event is non-refundable.]
