KGC 2023 Call for Tool Demonstrations

THE KNOWLEDGE GRAPH CONFERENCE TOOLS TRACK:
For KGC 2023 we will be hosting a hybrid conference experience on May 8-12 2023 using a virtual platform and a physical venue in the heart of New York City. The Tools track is like a TikTok pitch for using your tool and is a great way to get exposure for adoption and collaboration.

The tools track is 100% virtual during the last day of the conference and is broken into 5-6 chunks of videos all around one of three category types (Discipline/Use Case specific, Tools for Creating a Graph, or Tools for Analyzing a Graph). Accepted presenters for the Tools track will receive complimentary admission to the 2023 conference last day which is the entire virtual Tools track.

Acceptable tools include tools or code that help with the creation of, maintenance of, support for teams using KG, mining for KG data, analytics or machine learning using KG, or for KG analytics, and implementation of KG in systems and products, for example. 

At this moment we are requesting anyone who has an operating tool or code (sorry, you need working code to participate) that can be used in the knowledge graph space. 

Tools track proposals will be evaluated on the ground of relevance to the conference topics. Tools that are open, from academia or research, or from commercial organizations are all welcome.

If your tool is a commercial product. We ask that if your tool is a commercial product with no open tier, and if you are interested in submitting, you first work with the Sponsorships team (partner@knowledgegraph.tech).

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSIONS:

Submissions for the Tools Track is a little different. This survey is your final submission and will include the finished video you will present at the conference if you are accepted. 

If accepted, you are asked to virtually attend the block of videos where your tool will be shown so you can answer any questions from the audience after the videos play.

To submit:
Submit the details in this survey and a 3 minute mp4 video file presenting your tool (link for upload below). This is your final video submission and you cannot resubmit your video. Your acceptance will be decided from the details you provide in this survey, as well as your video content and quality. 

Please be sure the video is complete and meets the following criteria before loading it to the file share below:

1. The video is no longer than 3 min. in total duration and is an mp4 file (sorry, no hyperlinks will be accepted)
2. The video has sound (voice over is recommended but creative commons music is also accepted).
Pro tip. Have a few people listen to your video using computer and headphones to make sure you can be heard clearly and at an appropriate volume.
3. Video includes the name and way to access the tool like a URL as text within the video
4. Video file name is the tool name as you would like it entered in the KGC program
5. Submitting a video verifies you have the rights to share the details within the video
6. Make sure to submit this survey along with your video file upload using the file upload link below

Important Dates:
•  April 10, 2023 — Survey and Video submission deadline
•  April 17, 2023 — Formal notification of acceptance sent from Ashleigh Faith isadatathing <at> gmail
•  April 24, 2023 — Tools Track Chair (Ashleigh Faith, isadatathing@gmail.com) will email all accepted participants with their category and time slots for the conference.
