Beyond Equality are recruiting for Trustees.
As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of a growing charity that does exciting and much-needed work with men and boys to combat gender-based violence, rethink masculinities, build inclusive and supportive communities and create a more equitable society.

We would particularly welcome applications from individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and across all protected characteristics.

Currently, we are recruiting for a variety of positions and relevant skills:

1. Specifically, a Trustee with significant experience of work on gender-based violence, domestic abuse, sexual violence or related sectors; and

We are interested in someone with the following skills and experience:

- Intersectional understanding of gender-based violence and how it intersects with racism, classism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and the immigration system.

- Deep knowledge of the landscape of gender-based violence organisations and services in the UK

- Commitment to survivor-centred ways of working

- Commitment to trans inclusive practices

- Experience in frontline service delivery work supporting survivors /outreach work to deliver prevention programmes within schools or colleges.

2. General Trustee, to help direct the strategic delivery of our mission and vision.
We are open to applicants with a wide range of skills and experience who might be able to further the organisations in the following key areas:
- Governance and strategic direction of a growing education organisation and/or charity
- Understanding what makes interventions effective in our key areas
- Building a public profile, network and community
- Fundraising experience and/or networks to help us find new revenue streams
- Ensuring safe, inclusive and equitable internal structures and practices within the organisation

Our ideal candidate would also have professional and or lived experience to enable us to better serve the diverse groups of young people with whom we work. 

3. Chair of Trustees, 
Ideally, a successful candidate (either general or GBV focused) would be capable of eventually transitioning into the role of Chair of Trustees.

These are unpaid roles, but we provide expenses for travel, subsistence and childcare as needed to ensure everyone is able to fulfill their Trustee role regardless of income.
