International Career Panel - Spring 2024
The International Career Panel is an annual event sponsored by the Office of International Programs, the University Career Center, and The Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. The panel provides an opportunity to hear from early-career professionals and discuss the international elements of their careers in law, business, government, not-for-profit and education.
The event will commence with a brief workshop led by Dr. Patrick Madsen, Associate Dean for Advising & Experiential Learning. Dr. Madsen will discuss how to develop a plan of action towards a career overseas and what you need to be doing now to make that happen. Participants will gain information to help get them started on understanding what value they offer, how to brand themselves, and ways to build a target list of organizations.
Following the workshop, panelists will speak about their experiences and offer valuable advice to those entering the job market and pursing work in international fields.
