Fellowship Christian Students (FCS) is a christian organization led by students. Your child is interested in leading weekly Bible studies to their peers at Faubion. Your child wants to become an FCS leader. Below are the statements of Faith. We ask your child to check if they agree or disagree with the statements. As a parent please let us know if you agree or disagree with our statements of faith. We want you to be aware of what your child is signing up for. We want our FCS leaders to show Christ to their peers. We believe the statements below give opportunity for our leaders to grow and spread the gospel.  
FCS Statement of Faith helps us keep Christ the center of our ministry with a clear understanding of what we believe. As  ministry, we focus on what we agree on, not what we disagree about. Our goal is to spread the Gospel on our campus. We want our peers to know that Jesus Christ is the Savior and only by believing in him can you be given salvation.  FCS is not the organization to discuss denominational differences or beliefs. Our purpose is to spread the Gospel and grow leaders to become rooted in Christ.  Do you agree to keep the focus on the gospel of Christ and not on these or other denominational issues?   *
Statement of Faith: 1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 1:1)  2. We believe that there is only one God. We believe in the trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) 3. We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand  of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Deity -John 1:1, 14); (Atonement - Hebrews 9:15-22); (Virgin Birth - Matthew 1:18, 25); (Bodily Resurrection - 1 Corinthians 15:18); (Sinless Life -Hebrews 4:15); (Personal Return - Hebrews 9:27-28) 4. We believe that for the Salvation of lost and sinful men (and women), regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7) 5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose in-dwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13, 14) 6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) Do you agree with the FCS  Statement of Faith parts 1-6? *

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Philippians 2:1-4).  8.  We believe we are to conform to God’s word by staying away from the appearance of evil. This includes not drinking, staying away from drugs, watching how we dress, what we post on social media, how we speak  and  remaining pure till marriage.  (Avoiding evil-1 Thessalonians 5:22 and Proverbs 4:14-15, drinking/drugs- 1 Peter 1:13 and Proverbs 20:1, Modesty- 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Purity-  1 Corinthians 7, Social media- Eph. 5:15-16, Speech- Eph. 4:39 ). Do you agree with parts 7 and 8 for the FCS Statment of Faith. *
