B.O.T. presents FRIGHT GALLERY 3
Thank you for your submission to show at Fright Gallery 3! We are so excited to bring this awesome event back. At this venue we have room for a little over 30 artists. Artists will setup with vertical displays, like an art gallery. Artists must show dark and horror artwork at the gallery and will be selected based on their art being an appropriate fit — with returning artists' work pre-approved.  New artists will need to go through an approval process by sharing images and/or links of their artwork.

Below is the complete information for showing. After you read the details, you will be asked to confirm you've read the info. This info will not be emailed directly, but will be on the website if you need to refer back.

VENUE DETAILS:
The venue is located downtown on 6th street (corner of Neches and 6th). It has an industrial, upscale look. It’s a really nice venue with great styling, a good sound system and lots of bathrooms. It has two floors with a large opening in the middle of the 2nd floor, looking down on the stage; as well as, two large bars and an outdoor balcony. We will have chairs in front of the stage for the performances. Artists will have displays on both floors along the walls. There are two sets of stairs, one on each side of the venue, and no elevator.

COST TO SHOW:
The cost to show at the event is $40. It is payable once you are accepted. Once you are accepted, payment info will be given via email. No refunds unless show is canceled. Each artist gets one guest for the show. That includes any helper at your space.

ARTIST SPACES:
Artists will need to display on vertical displays — or tables if your art is standing. The artist is responsible for supplying their own displays; however, if you need help in this area, let us know. We might be able to help.

Dimensions of space: 5ft. wide x 7ft. tall x 3ft. deep

• Examples of displays would be free-standing pegboard or wood panels, grid setups and easel(s). On your display you are able to display as many pieces as you can fit.  *If you have standing pieces like sculptures, please let us know, and we can work with you on ways to display on a small table, column etc.

• All displays must be free-standing and can not lean or touch the walls of the venue. Artists are responsible for any damage to the venue that happens in their space (damage from displays, paint, fake blood, anything).

• The club has plenty of barstools that we can use but not regular chairs since we will be using those for the stage seating. You’re free to bring your own chair. Know that any chair/stool will  need to stay within your space dimensions.

• Lighting: Expect to have low lighting because this is a club setting. We highly suggest bringing your own battery-operated lights to light up your art. You will need to attach any lighting to your display. The space in front of your display will need to be clear of any obstructions, so clip-on lighting for your display is best. There are several inexpensive clip-on, battery-operated lights on Amazon and at most stores.

• If you have a preference of being on the 1st floor or 2nd floor, let us know on the form and we will try to place you accordingly.

If you have any questions on your space or need ideas on the best way to display, based on the kind of art you have, we will be happy to work with you. Email us with any questions: info@bloodovertexas.com (with “Fright Gallery Artist” in the subject line).

ARTWORK LABELS: It would great if you could make a label for each art piece — like an art gallery. Just a tag on each piece with: 1) Title of your piece   2) Media   3) Cost or NFS (not for sale) 4) Your name

Having any business cards or ways to contact you in your space is also encouraged.

SELLING:
This is not a “cash & carry” show, meaning, we ask that you not sell the pieces on display until the end of the show. If a guest would like to purchase a display piece, they can pickup at the end of the night or you can arrange a way to get the piece to them after. You can, however, sell prints of the piece you are displaying during the show. We don’t want empty displays during the show — so the guests can enjoy the full gallery until the end of the event.

STAGE PERFORMANCES:
There will be three performances throughout the night and they will be performed by our BOT “orchestra.” They will be performing two sets of live DJ/video montages and one special set showcasing 2-3 artists creating live art while they play (i.e. painting, illustrations, etc.)

LIVE ART:
We are asking if any artists are interested in being featured in the live art set. The set will only be 30 minutes, so we’ll need artists who can finish a piece in 30 minutes. There might be a chance for artists to move their piece and setup to another area to do any finalizing, but that might be challenging logistically. The pieces created will be auctioned off at the end of the show with the entire proceeds going to E4 Youth. (www.e4youth.org). We are offering to buy canvases and some supplies. If you're interested, let's talk more!

You are welcome to show at the gallery and leave your space to be in the live set.

*****Update: At this time we have filled the live art spots. However, please let us know if you are interested and we'll put you on a wait list. Just in case we have any unexpected drop outs or figure out a way to fit more in the set.****

LOAD IN: 1-4pm (Load out is 10pm-12am and the same loading info applies)
You will be allowed to load in the front of the club (on 6th street) or in the alley behind the club (entrance off Neches).

• When you load in the front, there won’t be a reserved loading area because it is public parking and we aren’t allowed to mark it off. So you will have to temporarily double-park with your hazards on. Much like the other delivery companies do on 6th Street. A helper would be especially helpful in this situation.

• The alley behind the club is only wide enough for one-way parking. Which might be an issue for getting stuck.

• We will try and have team members in both areas to help direct traffic. Hopefully, this load in will be less complicated than the last Fright Gallery as you’ll only have your display and art — and not a room full of stuff.  Please bring a helper if you can. We will try and help as we can.

• No load in will be allowed after 4. Please make sure you are completely loaded in by that time. You will still have an hour to finish your space before doors open.

CHECK IN: When you arrive for load in, check in at the box office (at the front of the venue) to get your wristband and your plus one wristband. The staff will direct you to your space.

PARKING:
Street parking on Sundays is free. There is a pay parking lot right behind the venue.
