One World Girl - THE CHANGEMAKERS COUNCIL
Thank you for your interest in joining The Changemakers Council.

During the 2023-24 school year, the council meets once a month via Zoom for mentoring sessions as well as participates in 6 leadership workshops during the school year. In between workshops, council members will read articles and reflect on the themes we discuss in our meetings.

Also, the council is responsible for many important things: social media postings, writing blogs, promoting One World Girl to the larger community, hosting our events, and helping shape our programs to be relevant to girls your age. There are also a few creative field trips and council gatherings, including a winter gathering, a final celebration, and our Broadway Empowerment Day in March 2024.

During spring 2024, each council member creates her own "Take Action" project that addresses a society issue that is important to them. The monthly time commitment for the council is about 7-8 hours per month, not including the Take Action project which requires more time to complete.

Finally, at the end of your year-long journey, you work as a team to develop and lead a 5-day summer empowerment arts program for elementary school girls, sharing your leadership and learnings with them in a creative, interactive, fun environment.

If you would like to join our empowering group of young leaders, please complete and submit this form, BEING SURE TO READ EACH QUESTION CAREFULLY AND CONSIDER THE COMMITMENT THE COUNCIL IS ASKING YOU TO MAKE.
