Pathfinders: Pedals, Paddles & Packs
An adventure taster camp for Pathfinders to learn adventure camping skills and to try all three adventurous activities (cycling, hiking and canoeing). Participants are to register as patrol of 1 Guider with 5 Pathfinders. Each patrol is required to provide and cook their own food and camping equipment. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bicycles for the weekend. Guiders will be sharing tents due to the limited number of tenting sites at the campground.
When: May 17th to 20th, 2019
Where: Honeymoon Bay Group Campsite at Cultus Lake Provincial Park
Cost: $400 per patrol (includes tech event shirt and crest -the actual fee is $500 and $100 per patrol is being subsidized by WCA from the sale of Girl Guide cookies)

Sessions included are:
- Search & Rescue training session
- Bicycle maintenance session
- A cycling trek through the backroads of the Fraser Valley including a ice cream stop
- A hike to a grove of enormous old-growth Douglas Fir trees or up through a forest of whimsical teapots to a picturesque viewpoint
- Canoeing on Cultus Lake with Ridge Wilderness
To register for the camp please fill out the online patrol registration form and mail patrol forms (SG2, SG5, and health form per participant/guider) and patrol registration fee to Adele Cooshek at 304 Dartmoor Dr, Coquitlam, BC V3K 5R3.
Registrations will be accepted until May 1st, or until the maximum number of girls is reached, whichever comes first. Please make patrol registration fee cheques payable to "GGC - West Coast Area".
