First, we'd like to thank you for considering volunteering with us! Volunteers are a huge part of our program and directly help support our rescue horses that we care for. It also gives so many kids an opportunity to get more involved with horses and have the best summer ever! Thank you!

Volunteer Application - Camp Counselor

* Develops professional goals for the summer that will help support and meet
   CMS mission and camp goals.

* Assists with the care of the horses, stable, tack, and riding equipment under
   the supervision of the Riding Director.

* Assists in the planning and implementation of the equestrian program.

* Assists with riding lessons through the direction and supervision of
   the Riding Director.

Volunteer Shifts & Preferences
Volunteers are required to work the whole day. Please choose what weeks you can attend! We do prefer volunteers to attend all four days but understand if you can only make a couple of days.

If you cannot attend the whole week please explain why in the comments section.

One thing that is also new for 2021 is that each week we will have an AWARDS GIVEAWAY!! Monday morning we all select something we'd like, put it in a hat, and Thursday after camp we do a random drawing! *To qualify, volunteers have to attend all 4 days*

Barn Bucks Rewards!
Rewards are based on a point system this year! We encourage all volunteers to attend every day during the week to make things easier for the team and campers. Volunteers not only help care for the horses, but help our riders have their riding experience.

All of the programs and activities at Cougar Mountain Stables are possible thanks to the efforts and dedication of many volunteers. Many opportunities exist, from working in the barn to assisting with the Equestrian Program and helping with camps. We appreciate our volunteers very much and are grateful so we'd like to return the favor with rewards! We understand that volunteering doesn't mean you should get something in return but we greatly appreciate all the hard work.

Points by day:

1/2 day - 1pt
1 day - 2 pts
Full Week - 10pts

 Extra points awarded every day! Helpers can earn up to 20pts PER DAY!!

We will keep track of and log points from summer camps for you, but it is your responsibility to use them! If you want to redeem your points, fill out the appropriate form, and let us know.
