Sign up: Race Research Cluster & CR+DS Reading Group
This term (Michaelmas 2020) the Race Research Cluster will be re-launching within the Sociology Department. It will aim to bring together faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in the university researching, or taking interest in 'race', creating a space to discuss our academic endeavours and gain insight into new, intersectional and transnational approaches and understandings.

Throughout Michaelmas and Lent term we will be running a new reading group, based on the syllabus created by the Centre for Critical Race and Digital Studies at NYU and edited by Lori Kido Lopes and Jackie Land. See https://criticalracedigitalstudies.com/syllabus/

Sign up options are below. If you have any questions, do email the cluster convenor Isabelle Higgins irth2@cam.ac.uk

I'd like to be added to the Race Research Cluster mailing list *
I'd like to sign up for the CR+DS reading group *
This reading group will run weekly on Thursdays from 1-2pm on zoom, starting on Thursday 15th October (feel free to join while eating your lunch)! We'll follow the CR+DS syllabus week by week, discussing the readings, their overall themes and the links to our own research. We will ask participants to commit to attend a minimum of 5 out of 7 sessions per term. We hope that participants will come ready to discuss at least one of the recommended readings (though we know this won't always be possible and isn't a problem).
I am interested in co-convening the CR+DS reading group *
This is an opportunity to assist in convening the reading group, facilitating group discussion and shaping its direction over the year. Time commitment will be low - attending weekly sessions and sending the occasional email. If you tick 'yes' or 'maybe', we'll email you with more details.
