I have read the GISD Sixth Grade Center Honors Program Standards and Expectations information page and understand the year long commitment of time and dedication needed to be successful in these classes. *
I understand that I am voluntarily undertaking the rigorous, fast-paced curriculum. *
I understand that honors classes require more attentiveness to the subject matter, independent learning skills, and effective time management. *
It is the parents' and students' obligation to confer with the teacher and take immediate action if the student begins to fall behind in the course. *
I understand the instructor's intent is to prepare the students to take advanced courses in Middle School and High School. *
Student commits to remain enrolled in the honors course(s) for the entire school year. *
I understand that the Gifted and Talented Program is served exclusively through the honors program at the Greenville 6th Grade Center. *
