The Friends of Saint Cecilia's is an independent charity set up to support the education of students at Saint Cecilia's school in Southfields, by fundraising to support projects at the school that enhance educational opportunities there, and by fostering communication links between different parts of the school community.
Membership is open both to current parents* and to other individuals wishing to support the charity. It entitles you to vote in our general meetings, to elect the trustees and decide on the allocation of funds to school projects. A copy of our constitution is available from
friendsofstcecilias@gmail.com. We are always keen to have volunteers to help out with our fundraising events - you don't have to be a member to volunteer and, if you are a current parent, you don't have to volunteer all the time even if you're a member.
If you are a current parent, your membership will be automatically approved - all you have to do is want to join, and tell us! But it is helpful to collect a bit of information about you so that we have you on our mailing lists and know a bit about where you may be most interested in helping out.
If you are NOT a current parent, then your membership is subject to the approval of the trustees. Therefore, in addition to collecting your contact details, we need to understand why you want to join the charity and what you are able to do to support it.
By completing this form, you are consenting to the Friends of Saint Cecilia's processing the personal data you supply as is necessary in relation to your prospective and continued membership of the charity. It is our normal practice to keep data for 12 months after someone ceases to be a member/their membership request is rejected, in case of any queries that may arise.
*All references to 'parents' in this form are short-hand for parents, guardians, carers and other adults with responsibility for a child studying at Saint Cecilia's.
