The Open Source Contest is an 11-day long competition where students compete to make as many contributions to open source repositories as they can! Through participating in this contest, students can gain experience with GitHub, git, and the process of open source contribution, as well as build their resume by making contributions to open source projects.
Students will compete individually. There are three award categories: Best Contributor, Best Issue, and Best Pull Request. The winner of each category will receive a GitHub Invertocat hoodie as a prize!
