Peer Application MCS Helping Hands Preschool SY24-25
Helping Hands Preschool is designed to prepare children in the Medina City School district ages 3-5 for Kindergarten, integrating children with identified developmental delays or disabilities with peer role models. Classes are staffed with a certified early childhood intervention teacher and paraprofessional(s) focused on developing problem solving and communication skills with a framework supporting social emotional development. Our goal is to provide a positive early learning experience.  

A peer model is a student age 3-5 who demonstrates age-appropriate language, behavior and social skills and does not have special needs. Peers need to be toilet-trained by their first day of preschool. High-quality programming focuses on Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards in preparation for kindergarten.

Sessions are Monday through Thursday and are two and a half hours long.  Session preferences will be taken into consideration, however class assignment will be made at the discretion of the Helping Hands staff in order to develop the best groupings for each session. 

In addition, our morning sessions typically have much younger children enrolled. Please consider an afternoon session if your child will be moving on to Kindergarten in the following year.

New Peer Model Enrollment beings January 31, 2024. Application forms are processed on a first come, first serve basis by the date that they are received in our office.

This is a tuition based preschool program.  Tuition is currently $1380 annually (paid in monthly installments). Transportation is the responsibility of the family.
