This award is given to the parent/guardian(s) of a current JMU student, and selection is based upon an application process. Please review the award criteria below and submit your application.

Award Criteria and Guidelines:

-  The Parent of the Year Award recognizes parent/guardian(s) who made a significant impact to the life of a JMU student.

-  The recipient must attend the Saturday of Family Weekend, as this award is presented at halftime of the football game. Information obtained through the application process will be used to develop the video script for the halftime award.

-  All entries will be judged in strict confidentiality by the Parent of the Year Award Committee, comprised of faculty and students. Your name and information will be removed from the application to ensure an unbiased decision.

-  All current JMU students are eligible to nominate their parent/guardian for this award.

-  The Parent of the Year Award does not discriminate against non-traditional households.

-  By submitting this form, you're granting permission for JMU to mail or email your nominee(s) a copy of the submitted entry form. Recipient(s) will be notified prior to Family Weekend.
