Longo Innovate & Create Entrepreneurship (ICE) Program Application

Explore business basics, innovation skills, marketing, finances and more with experts and entrepreneurs who can guide your journey. Every session is practical, hands on, and interactive.

Please note: This program will be delivered in hybrid mode (online sessions with in-person events on May 22 and August 7). This program will take approximately 5 hours per week including workshops and individual work on your company.

The program culminates in a pitch to the Longo CfE for potential financial grants!
At the end of the 12 week program, there will be an opportunity to pitch for financial grants for participants who complete the requirements of the program.

Program Schedule

Application period: April 17 - May 8th, 2024

Program Launch, first in-person session: May 22nd, 2024

Last in-person Longo ICE session : August 7th , 2024

· Ongoing workshops: Every Wednesday at 4:30pm - 6:00pm for 12 weeks (First session and Last session are in-person)

If you are accepted into the program, you will be receiving an email with onboard instructions approximately a week after the application deadline. If you do not receive an email by that time, unfortunately you have not been accepted into the program.

Work Integrated Learning Opportunity
The program accumulates a minimum of 60 hours toward WIL Hours (Opportunities to increase hours), must be approved by your Program Placement Advisor.

Please note:

  • The opportunity to win funding is available to current Humber students only. However, if you would like to take the program on a knowledge only basis as a community member or alumni (no access to financial grants or additional resources, but you will have access to the curriculum and the workshops), then you may apply for the program. When applying, set your student number as "000000". Please note priority will be given to current students.
  • You are not guaranteed to receive funding just by completing the program
  • Receive a CCR notation for program completion
  • Eligible Humber students: Complete your field experience requirements while building your own venture at the Longo CfE and potentially receive financial grants for your idea! The venture idea must have an alignment with your program of study. Inquire with your program advisor to confirm.
