The MBPCDA will be hosting a career seminar featuring Wayne Lee, Executive Director of Research Operations at SickKids. The talk will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in room 4-204 at PMCRT (101 College St). Please register below to attend. (Note: For those who do not have access to the building, there will be someone in the 4th floor lobby to let you in.)

Wayne Lee's Biography
After completing his engineering degree in Waterloo, Wayne earned an MSc in Medical Biophysics before starting his career at the SickKids RI in 2008. Initially tasked with developing MRI and data analysis techniques, his work grew to support multicenter studies and the diagnostic imaging department. In the mid-2010s Wayne’s involvement expanded to include procurement of a new MRI scanner and infrastructure planning. In 2017, Wayne left both academia and imaging to support strategic projects in hospital operations. This opened the door to his successful candidacy as the Clinical Director of Diagnostic Imaging in 2018. In this role, he led the team through many challenges including a new EMR, a leadership reorganization, and a global pandemic. Wayne returned to research in 2022 as the Executive Director, where he oversees the entirety of Research Operations.
