TESORO HIGH SCHOOL SINFONIA & CHAMBER ORCHESTRA AUDITION 2024-2025 Information Form

  1. The student will practice the following:

    1. One Major scale

    2. One minor scale

      1. A suggested tempo marking is given for both major and minor scales, however, the accuracy of notes, intonation, and tone quality are most important.  

      2. Students may choose the scale pattern of their choice.

    3. Excerpts

      1. Bow marks - Adherence to these markings is NOT required, although they can be regarded as helpful suggestions. 

    4. No sight-reading

  2. Audition Dates and Sign-Up

    1. Audition dates are Monday, 4/22 through Saturday, 4/27.

    2. Current Tesoro HS Students have the option to request audition times during Tutorial instead of after school.  Please come see Ms. Choi in person to make an appointment.  

    3. Each day has slots available between the hours of 4:00 PM - 8 PM except Monday & Saturday. 

      1. If all slots are taken, please email Ms. Choi for additional times. 

    4. Please click on the  Appointment Link (Click Here) 

      1. Move the calendar date to Monday, 4/22 

      2. Click on an open appointment slot to sign up. 

      3. If no slots are available, please try a different time range. 

      4. To cancel an appointment slot you have already booked, leave the calendar appointment link sign-up page and delete the event from your own calendar.  Also, email Ms. Choi for any changes- yechoi@capousd.org.

    5. Please contact Ms. Choi if the above dates do not work and need to request another date & time.

  3. Live auditions ONLY.

  4. Ms. Choi will record (audio only) the student's performance of the required scales and excerpts. 

  5. The student will NOT talk during the audio recording to make it anonymous of their audition.

  6. Fill out the Student Information Google Form (Click Here) before the day of your audition.  

  7. Results will be posted on the website by May 31st.
