New Crew Training - May 2024 - Introduction to Commercial Fishing & Maritime Safety / Survival

This three day course will cover Maritime Safety & Survival,  Basic Skills, Job Expectations, and Introduction to Local Fisheries.  Includes Drill Conductor Certification.  Lunch provided.

Thursday May 9, 8am - 5pm 
Friday May 10, 8am - 5pm 
Saturday May 11, 8am - 5pm

Taught by Commercial Fisheries Center of Rhode Island certified instructors

Please be advised:

A portion of safety training is practical, so you will be donning neoprene survival suits and getting into the water, in/out of a life raft, etc. at the local harbor. 

Please bring a change of clothes and towel for safety training practical day (we'll let you know in advance which day).

You will be required to sign a liability waiver - we will email to you beforehand along with a training schedule.

Must be at least 18 years old to earn certificates; younger students welcome with parent’s permission.
