RSVP for 2020 Women's Equality Day Celebration
Thank you for your interest in joining us on this year's Women's Equality Day, marking the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, extending the voting right to women in the United States. However, we understand equal voting rights were not granted for all women, the ongoing fight to vote continues today.

It is our honor to celebrate this historic moment and continue the fight with you by featuring a conversation between San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Assessor Carmen Chu on how their personal experiences as women of color influence their leadership styles, especially leading the city through a pandemic and racial inequity crisis. Share questions you may want to ask them with us below!

EVENT DETAILS:
WHEN: August 26, 2020 (Wednesday) at 12pm
WHO: SF Mayor London Breed and Assessor Carmen Chu
TOPICS: Women leadership, voting rights, racial equity and justice
Format: Zoom webinar (log in access will be emailed to you before the event)

The W Challenge was launched in 2018 on Women's Equality Day. It is a collaboration led by the San Francisco Assessor’s Office, the Department on the Status of Women and the League of Women Voters San Francisco with a simple goal of raising women’s voices and expanding women's representation. Each year we design a new “challenge” to encourage women to act. This year, we will lead a social media campaign to spotlight the 100 years of women leaders before us, while continuing the important message of voting and civic participation

We will announce details of the social media campaign at the event! Learn more about the W Challenge at wchallenge.org
