Debate is a great way for you to channel your competitive nature and arguing skills for a good cause. As a debater, not only will you become a better speaker, but you will also be a more eligible applicant for selective enrollment high schools and college scholarships. In past years, our team members won the city championship and were invited to meet the mayor at a city council meeting. This year, that could be you! The team is open to 6th-8th graders. Thorp Debate meets on Mondays and Tuesdays, 2:30-4:00, starting September 9th. The season runs until March 9th, and there will be 5 Saturday tournaments.
