Artist's statement: In the past few years the Toronto arts & music community has been devastated by the closure of many of its venues and cultural spaces. What has become clear is that these spaces sometimes need help from the community that depends on them to exist. Although the TRANZAC is in a better position to survive, it is not immune to the pressures posed specifically by the pandemic and more generally by dint of being located in an inhospitable city. I am humbly offering this collage in lieu of money, with the hope that it may translate to money for our beloved institution.
