Volunteer to field-test a new PLA survey
The Public Library Association (PLA) is seeking volunteers from all types of public libraries to field-test and provide feedback on a new survey developed by the Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment Committee.

The Library Staff & Diversity survey has 23 questions. Volunteers will be asked to complete the survey on behalf of their library system and to answer additional questions about the survey instrument itself to help us make improvements to the questions and data collected. We estimate this will take about 30 minutes. We aim to complete the field-testing process by August 15, 2021. The improved, final version of the survey will be administered and open to all U.S. public libraries in fall 2021. Please complete this form to volunteer!

If you volunteer, you will receive follow-up information from Sara Goek (Program Manager, PLA) or Tommy Hamby (contractor, PLA). We may not be able to have every volunteer participate in field-testing because of capacity and the need to ensure a variety of library types are represented. If you have questions, please contact plabenchmark@ala.org.
