Walkhome Volunteer Program Contract Declaration:   1. As a Walkhome volunteer, I will accept responsibility for at least two five hour shifts each month, and if for any reason there is a need to cancel the shift, I will call or email the Walkhome office as soon as possible in order to find a replacement.  2. When acting as a Walkhome volunteer, I will act courteously and will accept responsibility to make a client feel comfortable and safe while walking to their destination.  3. I will, at all times, respect the confidentiality of people who use the program, my fellow volunteers, and the volunteer telephone and email list.  4. I will not act as a Walkhome volunteer if I am under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  5. I will observe good conduct while representing the Walkhome Program or wearing the Walkhome vest or T-shirt.  6. I will immediately radio the dispatcher and request Trent Security or the Peterborough Police if, while acting as a volunteer, I am involved or witness a threatening situation. I will observe Walkhome's strict policy
