Attention all collaborators!
In preparation for the 2023 National Conference in
Nashville, we want to measure interest in a fun competition that
highlights the conference theme of The Beat of Collaboration where we are looking for the next great NACCE hit song. This is your chance to showcase your songwriting skills and potentially have your song heard by industry professionals.
The guidelines for the contest are as follows:
Who: Individuals or Teams. May include faculty, staff, students, administrators, other college stakeholders.
What: Lyrics for an original song, theme related to: entrepreneurship, small business, innovation, collaboration, engagement, community.
When: Songs to be submitted by September 30, 2023. (Date subject to change.)
Where: Lyrics will be submitted online.
How: Contestants will be evaluated by a committee of professional musicians and song writers.
Finalists will attend the National Conference and go through a song writing workshop, led by Country Music Recording artist Michael Peterson, and industry leading Music producer, coach and tour manager, Larry Butler. The top song lyrics will have a music score created and performed by Nashville musicians on the final day of the conference.
The song will be recorded and serve as a theme song for NACCE in 2024 and shared through NACCE website and social media.
