Details of the contract
The pork is sold "on the hoof", and is being sold as a living animal. At the purchaser's request, the animal will be maintained by Lazybird Farm until time of harvest. Lazybird Farm will also, at the purchaser's request, select a professional, licensed butcher to kill and cut/wrap the pork.
The cost of the pork is $6.00 a pound. The purchaser will be responsible for compensating the butcher for his work killing, processing and packaging the meat.
Attached to this contract is a payment to Lazybird Farm for $200 for each half hog as a non-refundable deposit. Should the buyer default on this agreement, the deposit will not be refunded, although it will be credited to another buyer if the purchaser who signs this agreement makes that arrangement with another buyer.
Should Lazybird Farm not be able to deliver this order, the full deposit will be refunded by December 1, 2019. In this situation, Lazybird Farm will be limited in responsibility to refunding money paid.
