2019 Project Pipeline Programming Request
Project Pipeline is a national initiative of the National Organization of Minority Architects with the aim of promoting diversity within the field of architecture and the built environment.
Our Project Pipeline programming is designed to educate, inspire and mentor students as they matriculate through rigors of becoming a licensed architect. We inspire under-served and under-represented youth as early as 10 years old through workshops, field trips, and our annual architectural summer camp. In high school we enhance their understanding of design, community responsibility and construction, through our Design-Build program. I-NOMA also partners with other local organizations, such as the ACE Mentoring Program to ensure the students are prepared to enter college. During a student's college years, we encourage them to join one of our NOMAS chapters (a college NOMA chapter) where they foster their leadership skills, focus on design and identity while giving back to their communities. Lastly, at the tail end of the pipeline, we support our Emerging Professionals through the Architectural Registration Exams by providing mentoring, study groups, access to study materials and financial incentives for exam completion.
