I understand that by applying, I will be accepted onto MPA Dance Company. Auditions are used only for dancer placement. Once audition results are emailed, I will need to pay my summer intensive fee ($240) to confirm my acceptance of the companies I will be on. Summer Intensive will be July 18th-July 21st, 2022. YOU MAY AUDITION FOR COMPETITIVE AND PERFORMANCE COMPANIES - IN THE CASE THAT YOU WANT TO COMPETE BALLET 4X, BUT ONLY WANT TO COMPETE JAZZ 2X. CHOOSE YOUR STYLES ACCORDINGLY. *

Select here if you would like to be a part of MPA Dance Company's Production Routine. This is an open level routine and anyone on company is invited. The routine will have one rehearsal per week. The routine is typically 4-8 minutes long and has an over all theme where all the dancers are different characters. Various songs are put together into a mix. Dancers enter and exit the stage throughout the piece performing choreography that fits their ability level to be showcased. This will compete at two competitions ($130 in competition fees) and perform at spring recital. *
State how many dance companies you can be on. Ex. Sally checked off Competitive Jazz and Tap. However, she can only do one of those, please specify that here. *
Please let us know if you are interested in a SOLO/DUET/TRIO. Choose all options that apply including which instructors you prefer and styles you prefer. Use the OTHER section to include any partner requests. Dancers age 6+ are eligible and must be on a dance company to apply. Dancers may have multiple Solo/Duets/Trios. DANCERS MUST TAKE A TECHNIQUE CLASS THAT CORRELATES TO THEIR CHOSEN SOLO/DUET/TRIO STYLE OF DANCE. THEY ARE ALREADY REQUIRED TO TAKE BALLET BASED ON OUR COMPANY REQUIREMENTS. *

State how many solos/duet/trios you can be in. Ex. Sally said in the above that she wants a solo and a duet and a trio. However, she can actually only do a solo and a trio OR she can do a duet and a trio. She cannot do all three. She must specify that here.
I understand that by applying and being accepted to do a SOLO/DUET/TRIO at MPA, I will be required to attend all my technique classes in the day/week of my solo to participate in my SOLO/DUET/TRIO rehearsal. A SOLO/DUET/TRIO is a privilege. My technique classes and group dances are more important than my SOLO/DUET/TRIO rehearsal. *NEW - If I miss a solo rehearsal, I may not have a makeup, UNLESS you have given the dates in writing to Ken or Nikki prior to the session. If I miss a duet/trio rehearsal, my partner will continue to have their rehearsal without me. IF I MISS MORE THAN 4 GROUP REHEARSALS, I WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION FOR MY SOLO/DUET/TRIO AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE OR CONTINUE MY SOLO/DUET/TRIO UNTIL I SHOW MY COMMITMENT FOR THE TEAM. FEES FOR COMPETITION AND COSTUME WILL STILL APPLY. *
I understand that by applying and being accepted to MPA Dance Company, I will be required to register for all of my required technique and rehearsal classes for SUMMER AND FALL (see dance company packet for requirements). I will not be eligible for Dance Company in Fall if I do not register for all required classes in summer. *Technique classes are always vital to a dancers progression. We require these technique classes over summer to uphold the confidence of the individual student and the integrity of the groups they dance with. *
I understand that by applying and being accepted to MPA Dance Company, I will be required to register for the MPA Summer Intensive (July 18-21, 2022 and cost is $240). *
I understand that by applying and being accepted to MPA Dance Company, I will be expected to attend all rehearsals and technique classes, unless I am ill or have given notice to MPA. Telling an instructor you will be absent will not count. YOU MUST LET MPA FRONT DESK KNOW WHEN YOU WILL BE ABSENT. IF I MISS A COMPETITION, I WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE AT THE NEXT COMPETITION. *
I understand that by applying and being accepted to MPA Dance Company, I will be expected to attend all CLASSES, REHEARSALS AND COMPETITIONS all season long. If I am absent to a competition and am not ill, I WILL be put on probation or asked to leave the dance company. In the case that I do leave dance company early (whether by my choice or MPA's choice), I will not receive any refunds for competitions, costumes or past rehearsals. I also understand that by leaving company early in the season I am effecting all of my classmates who will now how to restage their dances. *

I will not use social media inappropriately, I will not bully or tease, I will try my best to be friendly and make friends with all of MPA's dancers, I will approach a negative situation by talking to my adult guardian and scheduling a meeting with Nikki or Ken at MPA. *
