We are pleased to announce a seminar entitled "
Wolfram Language in Mathematics Education & Research", to be held on
08 May 2023, Monday @ 4-5:30 pm, at MB 118 Institute of Mathematics, UP Diliman. This seminar is designed to provide participants with a hands on introduction to Mathematica, a powerful computational software program widely used in scientific research, engineering and education.
The speaker is Mr Farid Pasha, a Wolfram certified trainer from Wolfram Research, Inc., Champaign, Illinois. The seminar will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Mathematica: Getting started, Manipulate, Teaching Resources, Demonstrations project, Accessing Wolfram|Alpha curated data, Documentation center.
- Symbolic Computation: Computation with symbolic expressions, including polynomial operations, solving equations and functions from calculus.
- Numerical Computation: Fitting data, interpolation, integration, solving equations, differential equations, linear systems, and working with large arrays.
- Visualization and Graphics: Two- and three-dimensional plotting, plotting data, and creating dynamic and interactive graphics.
- Special topics of interest: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Data Science & Statistics.
The seminar is open to anyone (affiliated with UP Diliman) interested in learning how to use Mathematica, regardless of their level of experience.
