More Information
Patrick James

When: May 27th, 4 - 5 PM Pacific Time

What: From a blade of grass moving in the wind to bouncing a ball to the way people walk, the laws of science dictate the way that each of these movements is animated. Every single thing that you see on the screen is touched by the equations of physics. We will explore the way in which physics can be applied to the extravagantly animated movies at Pixar.

Who:
Patrick James is the Technical Director at Pixar Animation Studios. He graduated with a Masters in visualization science from Texas A&M University. He has worked at Pixar now for over 20 years and worked on many movies including Ratatouille and Inside Out.
