Description of CPD:

Battery has been indispensable to our daily life. You can find it in any portable device that needs power, like your cellphones, your Airpods, your computers and such. In a bigger picture, as we are trying to find a cleaner energy solution for human society, we find that battery also plays a key role in energy storage and transition. For this session, we are going to discuss the following topics.

Speaker: MR. Li Chengyuan - Royce-Rolls Power Systems

Mr. Li Chengyuan, the Senior Sustainable Product Engineer of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, has established knowledge in battery and battery systems. He obtained a master’s degree in engineering studying the fundamental principle of batteries, and then expanded his expertise in developing battery systems for passenger vehicles and stationary power plants.

The Business Unit Power Systems of Rolls-Royce provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu. Through digitalization and electrification, Rolls-Royce Power Systems strive to develop drive and power generation solutions that are even cleaner and smarter and thus provide answers to the challenges posed by the rapidly growing societal demands for energy and mobility. 1. Personal Data Privacy
This Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS) is made in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. The PICS sets out the purposes for which your Personal Data will be used following collection, what you are agreeing to with respect to the use of your Personal Data by SOEHK and your rights under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). This PICS may from time to time be revised, or otherwise changed as and when deemed necessary.

2. Purpose of Collection of Personal Data
Your provision of personal data is voluntary. The information provided will be used by the SOEHK to process registration administration to maintain communication with you.

3. Disclosure and Security of Personal Data
SOEHK will take all practicable steps to keep your personal data confidential but the SOEHK may transfer such data to any person to whom the SOEHK are under obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on it. Except as mentioned in the above paragraph, your personal data will be accessible only to designated staff members who are authorized to handle your registration. Any persons designated to handle the personal data will be instructed to do so only in accordance with this PICS.

4. Access to and Correction of Personal Data
You have a right under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance to make a data access or correction request concerning your personal data in relation to your registration. The SOEHK have the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing any data access request.

5. Retention of Personal Data
It is the  SOEHK’s policy to continue to retain your personal data upon completion of processing your registration. Such data are required for the purpose of communication only. If you do not wish the SOEHK to retain your personal data, please notify the  SOEHK in writing.
