During the Blue Collar >o< Black Tie Tradeswomen Awards, we will be uplifting the hard work and achievements of area tradeswomen plus honoring unions and contractors who have gone the extra mile to support women in the building trades. This form is specifically for the BREAKING BARRIERS CONTRACTOR AWARD.

Breaking Barriers - Contractor Award: This award will be given to the nominee who can demonstrate programs, initiatives, and efforts that have supported women entering and succeeding in these programs.  How has this contractor worked to ensure female participation?  In what ways has it reached out to women? Are there systems in place to encourage retention and how does the contractor support them? What policies do you enforce to protect women?
Nominations will be accepted from Contractors who are signatories with any of the St. Louis Area local Unions listed in the Construction Careers book: https://stlouisconstructioncooperative.org/skilled-trades/
* The nomination deadline is  Friday, September 8th at the close of business. Awards will be presented on Friday, October 6th at the Gala.
**Incomplete nomination forms will not be counted.
