AUDITION DETAILS and RESULTS
Arrive no less than 10 minutes prior to your audition time.
Reminder: No dancer will be allowed to audition without the cash audition fee and permission slip filled out.
Warm up prior to arrival for your audition
Come in dance attire, hair pulled back looking nice and bring a water bottle and all forms of dance shoes.
We do our best to make auditions a positive, fun experience for all.

What We Look For:
At the Audition, we will be looking at the performer’s personality, dedication, skills, talents, showmanship, stamina, health, commitment, potential and how well they work with others. Dancers may be asked to show their specialty skills; ie: acro.  We will also be looking at all dancers' social media and interaction with our community.  As a representative of the studio it is important that company members keep social media positive and clean.   Some dancers may be additionally interviewed by our judges panel.

*A performer’s audition score determines their routine placements.
*Elite dancers are placed in routines not by age alone but by ability.
*Dancers will be placed in routines based on their technique, showmanship, memorization, skill,
listening skills, acting ability, stamina, health, appearance, commitment and special talents.
*Dance Connection Company interacts during the year as one company.
*Good sportsmanship, company spirit and attendance are essential for all DC company members.

Results:
Approximately 2-3 weeks after the auditions results will be emailed to the dancer and/or guardian.  Make sure you put our emails in your address book contacts, so we don’t go to spam.

*Not everyone will agree with every choice that is made. If a dancer or parent has a question or concern, it is best if they contact the studio director directly, rather than rely on information given from one another.

Acceptance:
Upon making a company division and/or extra routines, acceptance is expected, but you must confirm with the studio director immediately by turning in contract.Failure to notify immediately, by turning in contract and  paying the Company Fee, by June 10th, may result in the possible removal from the company. The next name on the list will be selected. All acceptance company contracts and agreements must be turned in immediately.
