Thank you for your interest in the UK-Japan Student Conference 2022, "Building the Future, Together"! UK-JP is a student organisation that was founded in 2016 to foster intercultural dialogue between Japan and the UK. Our platform allows youth from diverse backgrounds to debate and propose solutions to pressing contemporary issues.

Our theme this year, "Building the Future, Together," will encourage you to envision what you want the future to be and what role you can play in helping society move towards that vision. We believe that in an ideal society everyone is valued and no one is left behind. We plan to ground the discussion of our conference sessions in issues pertaining to equality, justice, and inclusivity in different areas of societal development.

You will be asked to participate in 2 online preliminary study sessions in July and August (dates still to be confirmed). Our main summer conference will be held from August 21st–29th, 2022, live in London. Please note that the participation fee is £250 / ¥40,000, which covers food, accommodation and transportation throughout the conference (this does not include travel to London e.g. flights).

Eligibility: Any undergraduate or graduate student currently studying at a UK or Japanese university. Fully vaccinated with one of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines.
