The qualifications of a RMD Volunteer

Must be at least 18 years of age and +5 years older than the age group you are volunteering to help.
•
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
•
Want to share your faith with youth
•
Be able to pray with a youth to receive Christ
•
Be able to lead or help in leading a devotional time each day
•
Consent to a background check
The responsibilities of a volunteer are:
•
Be responsible for youth in your care
•
Accompany youth to activities and be willing to help or participate
•
Assist youth in developing a relationship with Christ and with others
•
Your personal cell phone is for your use only
•
Due to the sensitivity of some youth’s home life we ask that no pictures be posted on any personal Social Media showing their faces.
After the application is received volunteers will receive a confirmation and required screening material via email. Adults volunteers must have a current (within the last 2 years) background check on file with RMD district through NATSB and have a completed child abuse prevention training program certificate (within the last 2 years). These links will be sent to you via email. Each applicant must also have Pastor Recommendation Form and 2 References Forms. Links for these forms will be sent via the emails listed in the application. (Note: Pastor recommendation forms and personal reference forms and volunteer applications are valid for ONLY 2 years)
