JASON BANNISTER - CAMP DIRECTOR
Jason has a BA in theater and a Masters in Education. He has taught elementary and middle school for over 20 years and currently teaches theater arts at Troy Howard Middle School, where he directs the annual musical. He also is the fall musical director at Belfast Area High School. A veteran performer, director and designer, Jason is the creator of the Maine Student Acting Competition and Managing Artistic Director of Midcoast Theater Company. Jasonbannister.com
NATHAN ROACH - MUSIC DIRECTOR
Nathan plays daily roles of ed tech, tutor and soccer coach at Nokomis Regional High in Newport, where he has been fight choreographer and co-director for the Drama club. He has also taught in the RSU 19 district's summer reader's theater program, and developed a theater camp for the Newport Cultural Center. He was a teaching artist for Penobscot Theatre's Shakespeare in the Schools program. Nathan has studied acting and vocal music at the University of Maine, improv comedy with Brad Labree and Amy Roeder at Penobscot Theatre, and stage combat with Arthur Morrison and Angela Bonacasa (a SAFD Certified Fight Instructor).
ERIN HAYES - STAGE DIRECTOR
Erin is an upcoming junior at The University of Maine, majoring in Elementary Education. She has participated both onstage and backstage with the Belfast Maskers, Midcoast Theater Company, Searsport District High School, Troy Howard Middle School and Minnesota State University at Moorhead's StrawHat Players. As a passionate member of her community she has done humanitarian work in Africa and Baltimore, led theater workshops, and volunteered in schools in the Belfast area. She is also an assistant teacher.
MARINA BANNISTER - CAMP STAFF
Marina is a third year camp counselor. She attends Belfast Area High School and does cheer as well as theater. She has been involved with theater for 10 years, and enjoys helping others experience it as well.
ANNABELLE LISA - CAMP STAFF
Annabelle has been acting and involved in theater for the past 10 years. She was a camp counselor for last year's camp and participated as a camper in previous years. She's been involved in various roles on and off stage with Midcoast Theater Company since 2015 and multiple school productions throughout the years.
ADA CURRY - CAMP STAFF
Ada is an upcoming senior at Belfast Area High School and has been involved in theater for over 10 years. She recently returned from an exchange year in Germany and is excited to act in English again.
MILES MAILLOUX - CAMP STAFF
Miles has been acting since 2015. He is an upcoming senior at Belfast Area High School. He was a counselor at camp last year and a camper before that.
SAM MAHEU - CAMP STAFF
Samantha has taught art at Troy Howard Middle School for the past seven years. Before THMS she spent 8 years as an elementary Art Teacher in the Belfast school district. She has been a set painter for Lakewood Theater and has painted many sets for the THMS drama club. Mrs. Maheu has had many years of experience as a basketball coach, summer camp counselor, and coordinator of all things fun! She is also a working artist, and has shown her own art at Waterfall Arts, Grande Central Cafe in Waterville, and works by commission.
