Blackhawk Summer School 2024
Summer School via Blackhawk's Online Academy is a credit recovery program for students in Grades 5-12.
Courses are completed at home using Edgenuity which is an asynchronous online platform.

Students may enroll in up to 2 credits of failed required courses and one PE course if needed.
Tuition is $100 for a 1 credit course and $50 for a 1/2 or 1/4 credit course.

How to register:
1. Complete and submit online registration form.
2. Wait for invoice to be emailed to parent/guardian with payment instructions.
3. Once payment is received/processed, student will have to access to start coursework as early as May 15.

Summer School Dates: June 10 - July 19, 2024 (but may begin as early as May 15)
Upon full completion of credit recovery course with a minimum grade of 60%, student is finished with summer school work and is not required to login.

BOA Summer School Code of Conduct
1. Tuition payment must be made prior to enrollment and is non-refundable.  Payment instructions will be emailed. Insufficient fund checks are subject to an additional fee and grades/credit will not be issued until obligation is paid.
2. A computer and Internet connection must be available.  
3. Student iPads may be borrowed upon request.              
3. All Blackhawk School District policies and procedures apply.
4. Courses must be completed by Friday, July 19, 2024.  NO EXTENSIONS will be granted.
5. Contact the coordinator with technical issues and the teacher with course content questions.  Edgenuity courses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
6. Student may enroll in a maximum of 2.0 summer school credits plus PE if needed. To earn credit for a course, a final grade of 60% or better must be achieved on the completed course.
7. E-mail addresses must be provided to receive course progress reports.
8. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Any plagiarism will result in a zero score. Teachers thoroughly read student responses.
