Our 3rd annual "Adopt a 2022 High School Senior from Foster Care" campaign is underway. We are asking for quilting sponsors across Texas. We want to honor and gift a hand-made twin-size quilt set (blanket and pillowcase) made for each CPS foster youth graduating this Class of 2022. This form will document who will be making it so we can have every senior accounted for.
For Texas, we have 622 seniors graduating. Due to privacy issues mandated by CPS, we do not know what county they live in, their names, their gender but DO KNOW they are graduating this school year. With that information, the quilts will need to be gender-neutral colors/designs.
Preferred dimensions for the handmade quilt are:
Twin Quilt
10” drop on each size – 59” wide x 85” long
Include 10” tuck – 59” wide x 95” long
Pillowcase
Standard 20” wide x 26” long
The twin-size quilt sets need to be completed, signed, wrapped, and delivered by April 15, 2022. We will provide you BY EMAIL with the point of contact in your area and the address where you can drop them off or ship them locally.
When the quilt is completed, I would love to see it and have permission to share it with others. You can email me a photo of you holding it or someone else holding it if you prefer.
