2025 San Diego Taiwan Festival Planning Committee Signup Form
Thank you for your interest in joining the 2025 San Diego Taiwan Festival Planning Committee! We’re looking for passionate individuals to help us showcase the strength and vibrancy of Taiwanese American culture.   The Planning Committee includes roles across seven core teams: Sponsorship & Partnership, Marketing & Community Outreach, Programming & Vendor, Logistics & AV, Operations & Safety, Volunteer & Training, and Finance. No experience is required to join the committee—if you’re passionate about the community, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn on the job!

Deadline to sign up: Sunday, January 19th

First committee meeting: Sunday, January 26th, 3:00–4:00 PM


Exploring New Ideas for 2025: We’re contemplating introducing a new theme for 2025, “Beyond Boba” which highlights that there is much more to Taiwanese identity than food and drink. To this end, we’re proposing that the committee evaluate the addition of:

  • Made in Taiwan/Made by Taiwanese (Americans): Showcase the high quality everyday items produced by Taiwanese companies (e.g., Bicycles, Tools, Outdoor Equipment) and artisan creations by Taiwanese Americans (e.g. TA.org’s recent Holiday Gift Guide).

  • Stand up as Taiwan: While we currently have no affiliation, the recent “Stand Up As Taiwan” event in Taiwan inspired the idea to similarly celebrate the independent and self-sufficient nature of Taiwanese people. Related news, YouTube
