Larson Gallery

When: Thursday February 15, 2024. Tour will begin at 1:30pm.
Field trip should last about 60 minutes.

What: Join us for a short tour of the Larson Gallery where we will hear about the different art shows they typically have and end with a scavenger hunt activity for the kids.

“The Yakima Valley College Department of Visual Arts (DoVA) fosters an awareness of the making of art, the interpretation of art, the development of art across cultures and time, and the relevance of art to daily experience.

This show features work by Yakima Valley College art faculty, including studio artists Rachel Dorn, Chris Otten, Kayo Nakamura, Monika Lemmon, Timm Wauzynski, and David Lynx, along with articles by Art historian Robert Millard.”

Where: 1606 W Nob Hill Blvd, Yakima, WA 98902

Suggested age: I was told that all ages, elementary and up, are welcome. Kids need to be able to follow art gallery etiquette (no running or touching of the art).

However, as with any gallery art, please be aware that there may be some art that young viewers may be sensitive to.
